O R D E R
[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission to the petitioner to have an
interview with her uncle by name, Murugan @ Sriharan, a life convict, confined in Central Prison, Vellore.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has sparingly contended to the effect that the life convict by name, Murugan @ Sriharan is a close relative of the petitioner. The petitioner wants to have an interview with him. Under such circumstances, this petition has been filed seeking the relief sought therein.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents has contended that the petitioner is entitled to have an interview with the life convict viz. Murugan @ Sriharan, after getting necessary permission from the jail authority.
4. Considering the divergent representations made on either side, this Court is inclined to pass the following order : In fine, the petitioner is directed to give an application to the third respondent so as to have an interview with the life convict viz. Murugan @ Sriharan.
The third respondent is directed to look into the same and pass a suitable order as per Prison Manual within a period of three days.
