the representation of the petitioner dated 13.03.2024 seeking removal of encroachers including the 5th respondent herein encroaching upon the Meikkal Poramboke land situated in S.No.272 at No.222 Veerananungam Village, Madurantakam Taluk, Chengalpattu District. For Petitioner :

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Mr.Prabhakar appears for respondents 1 to 4 and states that survey, in the presence of petitioner, was conducted in response to the representation received, and eight encroachments were found; two of which were removed forthwith. He states, as regards other six encroachments, notice under Section 7 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 was issued to encroachers and thereafter, final notice dated 3 June 2025 under Section 6 of the said Act has also been issued, and 15 days' time granted to the encroachers to remove the encroachments.

2. Mr.Prabhakar states that there is also a warning Board put-up at the site to prevent any encroachment. It is further undertaken by Mr.Prabhakar, on behalf of respondents 1 to 3, that by 30 June 2025, orders will be passed and action taken.

3. Statement accepted as an undertaking given to this Court.
