PRAYER: This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to call for the entire records connected with the FIR in Crime No. 86 of 2015 pending on the file of the 1st respondent police and quash the same.

O R D E R

The prayer in the present petition is to call for the entire records connected with the FIR in Crime No. 86 of 2015 pending on the file of the 1st respondent police and quash the same.

2. Today when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the FIR in Crime No. 86 of 2015 on the file of the 1st respondent was closed as civil in nature and the Final Report was also filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Alandur .

3. It is further submitted that as against the closure report, the petitioner have filed a Protest Petition before the trial Court and the trial Court by an order dated 01.09.2018 has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

issued notice to the first respondent for further investigation and the said investigation is going on.

4. In view of the above submissions, this Court cannot quash the FIR at this Stage and it would be appropriate to fix a time limit to the 1st respondent to complete the investigation. Accordingly, the 1st respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file a Final Report in the above matter within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

With the above directions, the present Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
