This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for direction directing respondents police to give adequate police protection to the petitioner and her husband.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought for in this petition, the third respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, after issuance of notice to the petitioner and the counter parties and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any cognizable offence is made out in the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the third respondent is directed to register the FIR as against the accused and proceed further.

4. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
