O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this petition to issue a direction directing the third respondent police to provide necessary police protection to the petitioner's petrol bunk, as the same is under threat of the respondents 4 to 5.

2.It is stated by the petitioner that the respondents 4 to 10 herein, who are politically influential persons, threatened him to give money by stating that the eleventh respondent, viz. Ravichandran had cheated them by not returning the amount borrowed by him from them; that now they traced him and when enquired, the eleventh respondent told them that he had handed over the amounts to the petitioner. It is also stated by the petitioner that he is receiving continuous threats from the respondents 4 to 10 against him and his petrol bunk. 3.Mr.C.Emalias, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, took notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and submitted that the enquiry in this matter is under progress and the presence of the petitioner is required by the respondent police for interrogation, so as to complete the enquiry. 4.

In view of the above submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and also considering the facts and circumstances of the case, it is suffice to direct the petitioner to appear before the third respondent on 28.03.2017 for enquiry. The third respondent shall complete the enquiry and thereafter necessary action be taken in accordance with law. 5.The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
