ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to cancel the Document No.10038 of 2016 dated 28.11.2016 from Book-I from the Registers of the 2nd respondent on the representation dated 18.1.2021. 2.Mr.T.M.Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader entered appearance for the respondents 1 & 2. 3.Heard, both sides.

4.The petitioner seeks cancellation of Document No.10038 of 2016 dated 28.11.2016, which is not permissable in law as the Sub Registrar does not have power to cancel any registered document and he becomes functus officio once he registers the document. If the petitioner is aggrieved, he has to move the appropriate civil Court for appropriate remedy. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.Having said that, this Court also records its disappointment that the petitioner has not indicated in the prayer column the nature of direction this Court may have to give the concerned Authority, since the prayer column reads to give a direction to the concerned Authority to consider the representation without stating what is the prayer in the representation. The petitioner has not stated what he wants from the Court in candid terms.

6.Subject to what is stated above, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
