Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 21.10.2024 and thereby, direct the respondents to transfer the Patta Nos.225, 226 from the petitioner vendor's name into the petitioner's name as per the sale deeds document No.1442/2022 dated 21.04.2022, Doc.No.2564 of 2022 dated 27.06.2022.

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to deal with the appeal filed by the petitioner on 21.10.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for transfer of patta in his name with respect to the subject property.

2. Heard Mr.B.Sundarapandiyan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 4.

3. The petitioner is claiming right and title over the subject 2/4

property through registered sale deeds dated 21.04.2022 and 27.06.2022. The further case of the petitioner is that the patta stood in the name of the vendor in patta Nos.225 and 226. When the petitioner submitted an appeal before the third respondent seeking for transfer of patta, the same came to be rejected by the third respondent through proceedings dated 23.08.2024. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal/ representation before the second respondent. Since the same did not evoke any response, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the appeal/ representation filed by the petitioner on 21.10.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
