O R D E R

This Criminal Revision Case has been filed against the order passed in MC.No.88 of 2017 dated 25.03.2021 by the learned V Additional Principal Judge, Full Additional Charge of II Additional Family Court, Chennai, thereby ordering monthly maintenance.

The first petitioner is the wife of the respondent. They had got married on 27.04.2001. They gave birth to the second petitioner. Due to misunderstanding, they were living separately and as such, the petitioners could not maintain themselves. Hence, they filed petition for maintenance. After full-fledged trial, maintenance was awarded to the tune of Rs.10,000/- (each) payable by the respondent. On perusal of records, it is revealed that the respondent is working in railway and he is earning reasonable salary. Therefore, the trial court rightly awarded a sum of Rs.10,000/- each to the petitioners as monthly maintenance. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to enhance the monthly maintenance. As such, this criminal revision case is liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, this criminal revision case is dismissed. However, the petitioners are at liberty to file a petition before the trial court in accordance with law.
