Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to issue patta to the petitioner in respect of the petitioner's property Survey No. Grama Natham land in SF. No.1738/37 old No.835/1B/1B/1 to an extent of 2146.5 sq.ft. situated in Sriperumpudur utilised by the petitioner as house property for dwelling purpose as occupier.

By consent the writ petition is take up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner claims that one Mr.Selvaraj, former owner of the property measuring an extent of 136 sq.mts in Survey No.1739/38 old survey No.835/14 obtained the property by virtue of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
registered Settlement Deed dated 10.12.2002, registered as document No.5451/2002 at the office of the Sub Registrar, Sriperumpudur and after his demise, his legal representatives succeeded his estate. The petitioner submitted an application dated 09.06.2014, praying for patta in the name of the legal heirs of the deceased Selvaraj. Since she has not been favoured with any response, came forward to file this writ petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents 1 to 4.
4. This Court taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer made in the writ petition, without going into the merits of the application submitted by the petitioner, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the application of the petitioner dated 09.06.2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after putting the concerned person/s on notice and inform the decision taken to the petitioner. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
