O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to pay difference in leave salary and difference in gratuity as per 15th wage settlement dated 29.05.2025 with 10% interest to the petitioners.

2. The petitioners had joined in the service of the respondent Corporation as Helpers on various dates and rendered nearly 36 and 39 years of continuous service. They retired from service on 31.05.2024 and 31.12.2023 respectively. After retirement, the respondent settled terminal benefits based on salary paid and 15th wage settlement benefit was not extended to the petitioners. Thereby, the petitioners have sent representations on 23.12.2025 and 09.01.2026 requesting the respondent to pay difference in leave salary and difference in gratuity with interest, however, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if the respondent is directed to dispose of the representations of the petitioners dated 23.12.2025 and 09.01.2026 on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent.

6. In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 23.12.2025 and 09.01.2026 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
