ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner who was arrested at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Sections 8(1)( c ) of Cigarette and other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 and Section 20 b(ii) B of NDPS Act, in Crime No.36 of 2022 seeks bail.

2. Based on secret information, the respondent police has mounted a surveillance near Omalur, Pacchanampatti Arch and apprehended this petitioner along with one Anandhababu. The polythene cover hold by Anandhababu was examined and found to be contraband (Ganja) weighing about 1.250 Kg.

3. The confession statement of Anandhababu reveals that, he along with the petitioner herein and one Stalin, S/o. Baby are involved in illicit ganja trade and further they used to purchase the ganja from unknown persons belongs to Krishnagiri District.

4. The petitioner was arrested on 15.01.2022 and further the coaccused yet to be apprehended and the analysis report is awaited. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. Though, the quantity of the contraband is in between quantity, in view of the pendency of the investigation and the abcondance of the co-accused, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
