[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to produce the body or person of my daughter Sumitha, daughter of Rasu @ Raji, aged about 20 years, before this Court and set her at liberty. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Sumitha, aged about 20 years, went missing from 16.11.2021 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. 3.
Today, N.Raja (Mobile No.9498107431), Inspector of Police, Thiruvennainallur Police Station, Villupuram District, is present.

On instructions, the Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Thiruvennainallur Police Station Crime No.913 of 2022 has been registered on 20.11.2021 under Sections 147 and 366 IPC against Ajith and six others; during the course of investigation, Sumitha appeared before the police on 29.11.2021 and stated that she was not abducted by anyone and she was willing to go with her parents; recording her statement, further action was dropped in Thiruvennainallur Police Station Crime No.913 of 2021. 5.
All these facts have not been stated by the petitioner in his affidavit in this case. A copy of the closure report is furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioner across the bar.
In the view of the above, this habeas corpus petition stands closed.
