O R D E R
The petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to make necessary correction in the A Register based on the Patta No. 1128 issued by the 2nd respondent in respect of the agricultural land measuring Acre 0.86 cents comprised in Survey No. 461 of Karasamangalam Village, Katpadi Taluk and Vellore District and to issue Chitta and Adangal in favour of the petitioners within the time that may be fixed by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioners is that, the petitioners are the owners of the property in Survey No.461 situated at Karasamangalam Village, Katpadi Taluk, Vellore, measuring to an extent of 0.86 cents. The said land was purchased by their grandfather and thereafter, the legal heirs inherited the property and patta also stands in their names in S.No.1128. However, the patta was not entered in the A-Register for which the 1st petitioner made a representation dated 19.09.2019 to the 1st respondent to make necessary correction in the A-Register based on the Patta No.1128 issued by the 2nd respondent and the same was forwarded by the District Collector, Vellore/the 1st respondent herein to the Tahsildar, Katpadi Taluk/the 2nd respondent herein on 24.09.2019. However, till date no order has been passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the 1st petitioner dated 19.09.2019 in the light of the letter forwarded by the 1st respondent dated 24.09.2019 within the time frame that may be fixed by this Court.
4. In view of the aforesaid submissions, considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioners, this Court inclined to issue a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the 1st petitioner's representation dated 19.09.2019 and implement the order of the 1st respondent dated 24.09.2019, after providing full opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and aggrieved parties, if any, pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. This writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
