By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner claims that he was born on 05.03.1979 and his father's name is Ramadoss @ Arumugam and his mother's name is Anjalai and originally his name was Kesavan and on account of the opinion of the Astrologers, he changed his name as Saravanan and it is also published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette. Thereafter, the petitioner would further state that in the year 2000 he applied for heavy vehicles driving license and it was received by him on 25.05.2000. When he went to renew his license, the respondent insisted that he should correct his father's name as Ramadoss instead of Arumugam. But according to the petitioner, his father's name is called either by Ramadoss or by Arumugam by the family members. The petitioner in this regard, has also made a representation dated 30.03.2015 requesting to correct his father's name as Ramadoss @ Arumugam in his license at the earliest. Though it was acknowledged, petitioner was not favoured with any response. Hence, he came forward with this writ petition.

3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would be suffice to direct the respondent to put the father's name https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of the petitioner as Ramadoss at the time of renewal of his heavy vehicles license.

4.Per contra, Mr.N.Srinivasan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that in the gazette notification bearing change of the petitioner's name, his father's name has been given as Arumugam, that is why the respondent has insisted the petitioner to correct his father's name. 5.This Court has carefully considered the rival submissions. Perusal of the typed set of documents would disclose that in the voters identity card, father name of the petitioner has been given as Ramadoss and since he is nomore, a death registration certificate dated 29.05.2000 is also enclosed in the typed set of papers, wherein the name has been given as Ramadoss and in the light of the same, there cannot be any difficulty in directing the respondent to state the name of the father of the petitioner as Ramadoss. 6.

In the result, the writ petition is disposed of and the respondent is directed to state the name of the father of the petitioner as "Ramadoss" and renew the license if the papers are 'otherwise in order' and issue the same as expeditiously as possible and not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
