O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.2.2018.

2.

The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner being the owner of the land covered in Survey No.587/1 and another

land in Survey No.584/1B having measurement of 68.5 and 73.5 ares respectively in Nallur Village, Hosur Circle, Krishnagiri, has approached the Revenue Authority for issuance of patta. The Deputy Tahsildar also in his Proceedings dated 9.12.2004 issued patta No.1198 mentioning the aforesaid survey numbers. Thereafter, the petitioner has applied for the Electricity Service Connection to her residential portion enclosing all the necessary documents along with the House Tax Receipts and Water Tax Receipts and obtained the same. The petitioner has been paying the Electricity Consumption Charges for more than 3 decades. While so, all of a sudden, the respondents have disconnected the electricity service connection. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation dated 27.2.2018 to the respondents. But the same has not been considered. Hence the present Writ Petition. 3.

Heard the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. 4.

A perusal of the typed set of papers filed along with the Writ Petition prima facie shows that the petitioner is the owner of the land covered in Survey No.587/1 and another land in Survey No.584/1B having measurement of 68.5 and 73.5 ares respectively in Nallur Village, Hosur Circle, Krishnagiri. Therefore, considering the limited prayer made in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.2.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5.

The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
