Heard Mr. G.Pavendhan, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. B.Anand, Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondent and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties. 2.

The Petitioner, who is the tenant of Shop No. 4 in M.G.R. Road Commercial Complex belonging to the Municipality of the Respondent, has filed this Writ Petition challenging the impugned Order in Na. Ka. No. 2094/ 2023/A2-4 dated 18.12.2023 issued by the Respondent fixing enhanced rent for the shop occupied by him.

As Learned Counsel for the Petitioner informs that the Petitioner has now agreed to pay the enhanced amount of rent fixed in the impugned order, Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondent, on instructions, states that further action would be taken for renewal of lease in terms of that order. 2/4

In view of the same, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner seeks permission of the Court to withdraw the Writ Petition and he has made an endorsement to that effect in the court record.

In fine, the Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid clarifications. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed. No costs.
