ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by V.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Seeking a direction to the first respondent to produce the petitioner's husband L.Pattabi, aged 54 years, before this Court and to set him at liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that her husband Pattabi went missing from 17.12.2013 and that the police have not taken effective steps to secure him.

3.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner's husband Pattabi went missing earlier in the year 2012, in connection with which, on the complaint given by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner, a case in Baluchettichathiram Police Station Crime No.274 of 2012 was registered and Pattabi was secured on 29.05.2013 and the said case was closed. Once again, Pattabi has gone missing on 17.12.2013, in connection with which, the petitioner lodged the complaint only in the yea 2015, for which, a fresh case in Baluchettichathiram Police Station Crime No.217 of 2015 has been registered for man missing and investigation is in progress.

4.In view of the above, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kancheepuram District to monitor the investigation in Baluchettichathiram P.S. Crime No.217 of 2015 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenu is secured, he may be produced before the Judicial Magistrate I, Kancheepuram, under intimation to the petitioner.
