This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the second respondent to include the name of the petitioner as SL No.47(a) over and above Shri.R.Ravindran in panel for promotion to the post of Deputy Director of Agriculture for the year 2009-2010 and promote the petitioner as Deputy Director of Agriculture (Extension) w.e.f. the date of promotion of his immediate junior Thiru.R.Ravindran and pay all consequential monetary and service benefits arising thereof.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous.
