Prayer : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing respondents 1 to 3 to pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 28.01.2026 by forbear the 4th respondent to alienate the properties bearing survey Nos.823/2, 823/3, 879/1 (Part), 880(Part), 885/2, 884, 883(Part), 881/1 (Part) and 881/2 in Kumbakonam Town, Thanjavur District, which is the subject mater of the present petition. ORDER

The petitioner asserts that she has inherited the property described in paragraph 2 of the affidavit as a class 1 legal heir of her parents. According to the petitioner, her brother obtained settlement deed bearing document no.7002/2023 in his favour and is endeavouring to alienate the property by relying thereon. After submitting representation dated 28.01.2026, the present writ petition has been filed.

2. Ms.Akila Rajendran, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice for respondents 1 to 3. She submits that the protest petition has been filed before the Sub-Registrar, Thiruvidaimarudhur and not before the jurisdictional Joint I, Sub-Registrar, Kumbakonam.

3. On examining the affidavit in support of this writ petition, it appears that the petitioner's grievance relates to settlement deed dated 01.12.2023 bearing document no.7002/2023. If aggrieved by this document and the execution of conveyances on such basis, the petitioner should approach the jurisdictional civil court. By leaving it open to the petitioner to do so, the writ petition stands disposed of without any order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
