O R D E R

The petitioner herein apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 341 & 307 r/w 149 of IPC in Crime No.227 of 2017, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that he is arrayed as A3. He was arrested and released on bail. Thereafter, the petitioner absconded and jumped bail, and a Non-Bailable Warrant came to be issued against him on 22.01.2026.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was unable to appear before the Court due to illness and that he is now ready to co-operate with the trial proceedings. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that the petitioner is involved in 14 previous cases and that, despite having been released on bail, he failed to participate in the trial process. Hence, he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of the allegations, the antecedents of the petitioner, and the fact that he absconded for nearly seven months, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief sought for.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 10.02.2026 kmm 2/4
