O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed challenging the order of the respondent dated 26.8.2013, in and by which the petitioner was directed to pay Rs.7.75 lakhs, along with interest of 6% per annum.

2. Heard Mr.C.Prakasam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.Manikandan, learned Government Advocate, for the respondent and perused the material documents available on record.

3. In paragraph 5 of the counter affidavit filed by the respondent, it is stated that, on various dates the petitioner had already remitted a sum of Rs.7,75,000/-. But, he failed to pay the interest amount. Hence, a reminder was sent to the petitioner on 12.7.2016, for recovery of the interest amount. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In the light of the above fact, this Court is of the opinion that the petitioner is not entitled for any relief sought for in this writ petition. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous miscellaneous petition is closed.
