ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 2nd respondent to issue the equivalence certificate within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.A.Sivaji, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate for the second respondent and Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent.

3. The petitioner completed his BCA (Regular) during 2001 - 2004 at Regional Institute of Engineering and Technology at Perundurai, Tamil Nadu, affiliated to Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrakarita Vishwa Vidyalaya, Bhopal, which was set up by Act Number 15 of 1990 of the Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh. Thereafter he completed M.Sc. Computer Science at Rathnavel Subramaniam College of Arts and Science, Sulur. On 01.03.2019, the applications were called for by the first respondent Board through online for filling up the post of Computer Page No.2 of 6

Instructor Grade I vide Notification No.9/2019. The petitioner applied for the same and came out successfully in the written examination. During certificate verification, the petitioner was informed that the petitioner's candidature was withheld due to non-production of equivalence certificate from the second respondent approving the petitioner's BCA degree is equivalent to the degree obtained in the State of Tamil Nadu. Therefore, the petitioner sent a representation to the second respondent on 08.01.2021 seeking equivalence certificate by enclosing the relevant documents. Since no action was forthcoming, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that the petitioner's representation will be considered by the second respondent within the time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

5. In view of the above circumstances, this Writ Petition is disposed and the second respondent is directed to consider the Page No.3 of 6

representation of the petitioner dated 08.01.2021 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
