Respondents Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to implement the order of the Sate Level Scrutiny Committee passed in favour of the petitioners vide proceedings No.19011/CV-6/2017-2 dated 17.08.2020 and to issue Community Certificate to the petitioners that they belong to Malaikuravan [ST] Community.

[Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN, J.] (1)By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal and is disposed of by this order.

(2)The learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn the attention of this Court to the proceedings of the 1st respondent-Committee dated 17.08.2020 bearing No.19011/CV6/2017-2 and would submit that the 1st respondent - Committee, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

having found that the claim of the 2nd petitioner that she belongs to Hindu Scheduled Tribe Malaikuravan Community, has instructed the appropriate authority to issue Community Certificate to her as well as to the other petitioners herein and despite a lapse of nearly 7 months and odd, no orders have been passed on the applications submitted by the petitioners herein for issuance of Hindu Scheduled Tribe Malaikuravan Community Certificates and prays for appropriate orders. (3)The Court heard the submissions of Mr.S.Kamalesh Kannan, learned Government Advocate appearing for the official respondents and also perused the materials placed before it. (4)This Court, taking into consideration the above facts and circumstances, directs the 3rd respondent / Sub-Collector to take note of the above cited proceedings of the 1st respondent dated 17.08.2020 and consider the petitioners'

applications/representations dated 14.09.2020 ; 16.02.2020 and the reminder representation dated 28.09.2020 in an objective manner and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading of the order in the website and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioners. (5)The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
