This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register the case on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 16/04/2013 and proceed with the investigation as per law.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

It is submitted by the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] that already the petitioner has given a complaint against one Raghu and based on the said complaint, a case has been registered in Crime No.124 of 2013; however, the petitioner gave another complaint to include the name of some persons stating that he came to know that there are two more persons involved in the crime.

4. Since the complaint has already been registered by the respondent police, there is no necessity for registering another complaint for the same crime against the alleged accused. During the investigation, if the investigating officer found the involvement of any other person in the crime, it is open to him to include their name in the charge sheet.
