Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment of public road S.Nos.311/6, 311/18 and consider the petitioner representation dated 22.01.2024. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.L.Rangabass, party-in-person and Mr.A.Edwin Prabhakar, learned State Government Pleader assisted by Mr.K.Karthik Jagannath, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 4.

2. The writ petition is filed seeking directions against respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment on the public road in S.Nos.311/6 and 311/18.

3. Learned State Government Pleader submits that survey was conducted on 30.10.2023 and upon survey, encroachment has been

found. The party-in-person has also encroached the land in adjacent survey number. Form-I has been issued on 01.11.2023.

4. Learned State Government Pleader further submits that steps, in accordance with law, would be taken to remove the encroachment and the said steps would be commenced within a period of two months from today. The procedure for removal of encroachment would be concluded expeditiously thereafter.

5. In view of the said statement, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.) (D.B.C., J.) 08.03.2024 Index :
