ORDER
The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dharmapuri, to dispose of the case in Spl.C.C.No.3 of 2014 within a stipulated period as fixed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that the respondent registered a case as against the petitioner under Section 102 Cr.P.C. based on the confidential information received by the Inspector, Pappireddipatti. In the said case, after completion of investigation, charge sheet has been filed as against the petitioner and two others for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 7, 12 and 13(2) read with 13 (1)(a) and (d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dharmapuri, on 30.9.2014 and the same was taken on file as Spl.C.C.No.3 of 2014. After framing of charges, nothing has been proceeded further and not even single witness has been produced by the prosecution. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition seeking a direction to the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dharmapuri, to dispose of the case in Spl.C.C.No.3 of 2014 within a stipulated period as fixed by this Court.
3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dharmapuri, to expedite the trial of the case in Spl.C.C.No.3 of 2014 and complete the same as early as possible.
