By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claims that originally, his mother viz. S.Rajammal, and six others were joint owners of Ryotwari residential housing land property in Town Survey No.2, Block No.3, Erukkecherry Village, Perambur Taluk, Chennai 11, admeasuring to an extent of 7750 square feet, situated at Door No.33/1-33/7, GNT Road, Erukkencherry, Chennai and subsequently, her mother had given a settlement of her https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

property by means of a registered settlement deed dated 14.10.2011, in favour of the petitioner, and thereafter, the petitioner on 19.3.2014, submitted an application 26.3.2015, for transfer of patta in her name and it was also acknowledged by the second respondent vide reference Fir No.TR/776/2014, and though nearly one year had lapsed, she has not been favoured with any response and therefore, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.A.Edwin Prabakar, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and also Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepted notice for the respondents.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, and without going into the merits of the application/representation, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application/representation dated 26.3.2015, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
