ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Respondents to settle the differential amount Gratuity, and other benefits of last month 7 days salary along with interest at the rate of 12 percent and considering the petitioner Representation dated 22.01.2026 within the stipulated time as may be fixed by

this Honble Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he joined as a Junior Assistant in the first respondent Corporation on 01.02.1986 and after, the petitioner retired from service on 31.08.2017. After retirement, the petitioner was received the terminal benefits of Gratuity, Earned leave salary and commutation amounts paid based on basic salary and grade pay with effect from 01.01.2016. However, the petitioner is entitled to get the benefits of 7th pay commission. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 22.01.2026 seeking for take steps to settle the petitioner's difference of terminal benefits and interest and the same is not considered. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the representation will be considered and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel for both side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this court directs the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 22.01.2026 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
