This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the learned Special District Judge, Salem under SC and ST Act to accept the surrender and consider the petitioner's bail application sympathetically and pass orders on merits on the same day of her surrender in connection with Crime No.1039 of 2023 dated 04.08.2023 pending on the file of the 2nd respondent police.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the petitioner was originally ranked as accused No.6 and further in the course of investigation found that she is not an accused and her name was deleted.
