By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner appeared party-in-person and submitted that her mother Mrs.Kanthayi Ammal owned a land in Survey No.23/2B 3D admeasuring 1875 Sq.ft by way of registered sale deed dated 18.09.1981 in document No.1676 of 1981 registered before the Sub-Registrar, Othankarai. Her mother was in possession of the said property till her demise on 24.04.2008. The petitioner further submitted that she is only daughter and legal heir to the deceased Kanthayi Ammal. The petitioner had given a representation dated to the first respondent seeking https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
patta in her name alongwith necessary documents. The first respondent vide letter dated 31.10.2016, directed the second respondent to consider the same. However, till date, no orders have been passed by the 2nd respondent. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with this Writ Petition. 3.Heard the submissions made by the Party-in-person and Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents.
4.The petitioner, party-in-person would contend that she is asking only for Patta in her name, since she is the only legal heir to the deceased Kanthayi Ammal and had obtained legal heir certificate.
5.Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation as per the first respondent's letter dated 31.10.2016 and pass orders on merits, in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
