ORDER

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) submits that the City Public Prosecutor, who filed a complaint against the petitioner herein alleging that he had committed an offence of defamation, had moved a miscellaneous application seeking to withdraw the complaint filed by him against the petitioner. The learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai, permitted the respondent to withdraw the complaint and accordingly, on 29.09.2021, learned Principal Sessions Judge, Chennai, passed the following order :- "The complaint has been filed by the complainant against the accused for the alleged offence u/s 500 of IPC.

As per order passed in Crl.M.P.No.17208/2021, dated 29.09.2021, the case is closed as withdrawn."

2. In view of the above, nothing survives in this original petition for adjudication. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions stand closed.
