O R D E R

The petitioner is an employee of Metropolitan Transport Corporation, Chennai. While he was working as Conductor attached to Avadi Depot of Metropolitan Transport Corporation, the respondent issued a show cause notice on 13.8.2008 alleging that the petitioner closed the depot gate during night hours and prevented the bus from entering and thereby caused interference to the work and violated the standing orders.

2. It is the grievance of the petitioner that further proceedings were not taken by the respondent and he was also not permitted to join the duty. No adverse order was passed by the respondent. Even then, the petitioner was not permitted to work as Conductor. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 21.11.2013 requesting the respondent to take action. The present request is to direct the respondent to consider and dispose of the representation on merits.

3. The respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation dated 21.11.2013 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
