This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the trial Court to expedite the trial in S.T.C.No.48 of 2019 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Fast Track Court (Magistrate Level), Poonamallee, Chennai-56.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that case in 1/4

S.T.C.No.48 of 2019 under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate Fast Track Court (Magistrate Level), Poonamallee, is pending from 2019 without any progress.

3. It appears from the adjudication, the reason for the delay is that accused/respondent remained absent and NBW was issued. Therefore, the prayer sought in this petition for completion of trial within a time frame cannot be entertained. However, this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate Fast Track Court (Magistrate Level), Poonamallee to take steps to execute the Non Bailable Warrant and proceed to dispose the case as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above observations and directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
