ORDER

The prayer made in the writ petition is to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission and provide protection to conduct Adal Padal Kalai Nigazhchi in the event of Manavalli Arulmigu Sree Kaliamman Temple Festival at Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District scheduled to be held on 12.03.2017 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.03.2017.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that he has submitted a representation dated 04.03.2017 to the respondent, seeking permission to conduct Adal Padal Kalai Nigazhchi in the event of Manavalli Arulmigu Sree Kaliamman Temple Festival at Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District scheduled to be held on 12.03.2017. However, till date, no order has been passed by the respondent. Hence, this petition.

3. Though the petitioner sought for permission to conduct "Adal Padal Kalai Nigazhchi", learned counsel for the petitioner restricted the same to the extent of conducting Orchestra, for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

which, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent has raised no serious objection.

In view of the submission so made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.03.2017 and grant permission to the petitioner to conduct Orchestra in the event of Manavalli Arulmigu Sree Kaliamman Temple Festival at Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District scheduled to be held on 12.03.2017, subject to usual conditions. It is made clear that this Court has not granted any direction to conduct "dance programme" in the name of "Adal Padal Kalai Nigazhchi".
