This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 5 not to evict the petitioner from the subject property situated in Survey No.101/10 measuring an extent of 27.5 acres situated at C.N.Palayam Village, Vikravandi Taluk,

2. Heard Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned counsel for petitioner, Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3, Mr.Vadivelu Deenadayalan, learned Additional 2/4

Government Pleader appearing for respondents 4 and 5 and Mr.V.J.Priyadarsana, learned Government Advocate [Crl.side] appearing for sixth respondent.

3. When the matter came up for hearing on 25.02.2025, this Court directed the learned Additional Government Pleader to take instructions. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the written instructions received from the third respondent was placed before this Court. On going through the same, it is clear that the respondents are not intending to interfere with the possession and enjoyment of the petitioner in S.No.101/10. Steps were only taken to remove the encroachments in S.No.102 and 116/6 which were categorized as Government poramboke lands. That apart, the petitioner had claimed patta with respect to the subject property and a decision has been taken by the third respondent that no such patta can be granted in favour of the petitioner since it is categorized/classified as a Government poramboke. In the light of the written instructions received from the third respondent, the grievance expressed by the petitioner has been sufficiently redressed and recording the same, this writ petition is 3/4
