ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to produce the person and body of the petitioner's husband Ravi, S/o.Narayanan, aged about 53 years, before this Court, from the illegal custody of the 4th respondent and set him at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that her husband Ravi, S/o.Narayanan, aged about 53 years, went missing from 14.06.2020 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure him.

Today, Mr.K.Ravichandran, Sub-Inspector of Police, Jayankodam Police Station, Jayakondam, Ariyalur District, is present.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Jayankondam Police Station Crime No.179 of 2021 for 'man missing' was registered and investigation is in progress.

In view of the above, this habeas corpus petition is closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jayankondam Sub-division, to monitor the investigation in Jayankodam Police Station Crime No.179 of 2020 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenu Ravi, S/o.Narayanan, aged about 53 years, is secured, he may be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Jayankondam, Ariyalur District, under intimation to the petitioner.
