Respondents PRAYER: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to remove the photo and by-name of Miss.J.Jayalalithaa, i.e., Amma, who is found guilty of corruption charges from all the Government Schemes and may be renamed in the name of Tamil Nadu Government and its Symbol and to restrain the use of Photo and by-name of Miss.J.Jayalalithaa, i.e., Amma in any governments official meeting.

ORDER

(Order of the court was made by the Acting Chief Justice) The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to remove the photo and by-name of Miss.J.Jayalalithaa, i.e., Amma, who is found guilty of corruption charges from all the Government Schemes and to rename the same with the Tamil Nadu Government and its Symbol and to restrain the use of Photo and by-name of Miss.J.Jayalalithaa, i.e., Amma, in any governments official meeting.

2. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition and he has also filed a memo dated 7.8.2018 to the said effect.

3. In view of the memo dated 7.8.2018 filed by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.4991 of 2017 is closed.
