Mr.K.T.Devendran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 27.11.2017, followed by another representation dated 20.01.2018, wherein and whereby, he sought for issuance of Patta in his favour, in respect of his residential property situated at No.23, Govindarapuram Village, Old Survey No.80/1, New Survey No.80/52, Door No.443/90, Muthumariamman Koil Street, Jeeva Nagar - New Town Post, Vaniyampadi, Vellore District, totally to an extent of 0.79 sq.m or 850 sq.ft.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said representations have not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the third respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the third respondent to consider the representations dated 27.11.2017 and 20.01.2018 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the petitioner and the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the third respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
