O R D E R

This is the fourth anticipatory bail application filed by the petitioner before this Court.

2. Though the earlier anticipatory bail petition of the petitioner was dismissed by my learned predecessor, Hon'ble Justice T.V.Thamilselvi, this petition is listed before this Court pursuant to the orders passed by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court in Crl.O.P.No.31787 of 2024 on 04.03.2025.

3. The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 7 and 20(2) of COTPA Act, 2003, and Sections 273 and 328 of IPC in Crime No.795 of 2023, seeks anticipatory bail.

4. The case of the prosecution is that, the petitioner along with the other accused were found in illegal possession of 450 kgs of banned tobacco products.

5. The third anticipatory bail application filed by the petitioner herein in Crl.OP.No.27180 of 2024, dated 07.11.2024, was dismissed by my learned predecessor, Hon'ble Justice T.V.Thamilselvi, with the following observations:- "5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that the petitioner is involved in a very serious offence and earlier applications were dismissed by this court and there is no change of circumstances, this court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner"

6. This Court finds no change in circumstances and is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
