Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus directing the directing the Respondents to close or shift the TASMAC Shop No.4473 situated at Keelavalam Village between the Melavalampettai to Thirukazhukundram Road Maduranthakam Village Chengalpattu District to some other place based on the petitioner's representation dated 25.01.2021 within a time limit to be stipulated by this Honourable Court.

ORDER

(made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) This is another of the matters where the petitioner purports to wear his puritanism on his sleeve and require a TASMAC shop to be banished from his locality.

2. TASMAC outlets are established upon following the guidelines put in place therefor. It is possible that some guidelines may have been breached, whereupon a representation to the District Collector may be made. However, if a TASMAC outlet https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

is found to have been set up at a place which is permissible and within the parameters of the guidelines, a request for removal thereof ought not to be entertained.

3. The petitioner herein will make a formal representation to the District Collector, Chengalpattu, clearly indicating why the relevant TASMAC shop should be removed from its present location and how the present location may be in derogation of the rules in such regard. If the Collector finds any rules to have been breached, the Collector will take appropriate action in accordance with law after affording any person likely to be affected by the order, a reasonable opportunity of hearing.

4. The writ petitioner's representation to the Collector must be reached to the official within four weeks from date and the Collector should dispose of the matter by a speaking order within eight weeks of the receipt thereof.
