Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 17.01.2025 to grant police protection during the Thai Poosam festival from 10.02.2025 to 17.03.2025 and on 16.02.2025 for the rally carrying the statue of Arulmigu Mangammal mahalakshmi from

Kathirimalai to Erode and again to return to the Kathirimalai temple on 17.03.2025.

For Petitioner : Mr.S.P.Yuaraj For R1 to R3 : Mr.K.M.D.Muhilan Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 17.01.2025 to grant police protection during the Thai Poosam festival from 10.02.2025 to 17.03.2025 and on 16.02.2025 for the rally carrying the statue of Arulmigu Mangammal mahalakshmi from Kathirimalai to Erode and again to return to the Kathirimalai temple on 17.03.2025.

On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that already the petitioner made same request on 07.01.2025 and the same was considered and rejected on the same day. Without even challenging the said order, once again, the petitioner submitted a representation for the very same relief.

3. In view of the above, the direction sought for in this writ petition cannot be considered and the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
