When the matter is taken up for consideration, it is brought to the notice of this court by learned counsel on either side that the impugned punishment imposed on the petitioner through the impugned proceedings has been subsequently set aside by the Government by issuing Government Orders in G.O (D) No.914, Home (Police-IVA) Department, dated 08.07.2017 and hence, the relief sought in this writ petition has become infructuous.
2. In the light of the order issued by the Government in G.O (D) No.914, Home (Police-IVA) Department, dated 08.07.2017, no further order needs to be passed in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
