ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offences under Sections 279, 328 of IPC, Sections 7 and 20(1) of the Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products Act, 2003 and Sections 52 and 59 of Food safety and Standards Act, 2006, in Crime No.08 of 2022, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.

The petitioner is arrayed as one of the accused in the case of transporting tobacco products worth Rs.20,00,000/-, illegally in Mahindra Pick up Van. The petitioner is the owner of the vehicle in which the contraband has been transported.

The petitioner is absconding and prosecution express the difficulty in proceeding with the investigation to find out the source of the contraband. Hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
