The petition has been filed to quash the FIR registered in Crime No.29 of 2023 as against the petitioner herein on the ground that the complaint was filed with malafide intention, even though the petitioner was not present at the scene of occurrence on the date of incident and narrating the reason for filing a false complaint against the petitioner by a practicing Advocate at Puducherry.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the letter dated 21.06.2024 sent by the respondent Police submitted that the Police, in the course of investigation, has found that the petitioner is innocent and falsely arrayed as accused by the complainant, though he had no involvement in the crime, hence his name has been deleted in this case in the interest of justice.

3. In the light of the above facts, this Court is of the view that nothing survives in this Ciminal Original Petition to quash the FIR, since the Police themselves has found that the petitioner is innocent and not involved in the alleged crime.
