Respondent(s) Prayer : This Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd Respondent to consider the representation of the Petitioner dated 16.12.2025 and to allot the small petty shop at West Madha Koil Street, (Near Mosque and Backside of St. Peter Church ground,) Royapuram, Chennai-600 013 situated within Zone 05, Ward-50 and Division 12 of Corporation of Chennai as per the Street vendors (Protection of Livelihood Regulation) Act 2014 within a stipulated time to be fixed by this Court.

ORDER
The petitioner is a visually challenged person. He has 100% disability in both eyes. He moved the respondents seeking allotment to run a petty shop at West Madha Koil Street, Royapuram, Chennai. The location identified is near the Mosque and on rear side of the Saint Peter Church. As no order has not been passed in his favour, he is before this Court.
2. When the matter was taken up, Mr.Gopinath submitted that the area identified by the petitioner is not a vending zone. Therefore, the second respondent cannot grant permission in terms of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation)Act, 2014. However, he assured the Court that the application made by the petitioner for allotment of an area in a vending zone would be placed before the second respondent and that appropriate orders would be passed thereon.
3. At the time of considering the application , the second respondent shall take into account that the petitioner is a visually challenged person with 100% disability and pass appropriate orders accordingly,
