ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent of keep the disciplinary proceedings in PR.No.93 of 2025 dated 29.10.2025 in abeyance till the conclusion of criminal case.

2. Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing today at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned Senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was appointed as Gr-II police constable and thereafter, promoted as Gr-I police constable and further promoted as Special Sub-Inspector of police in the year 2018 and transferred to the present station from September 2024. He further submitted that based on a complaint, the petitioner was placed under suspension on 07.08.2025, however no progress in criminal case as well as in the departmental proceedings and therefore, the petitioner made several representations and the final representation to the respondent on 22.12.2025 to defer the disciplinary proceedings till the

conclusion of the criminal case, but no order was passed so far and hence, the present petition.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2025 and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
