ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the appeal filed by his father on 06.01.2012, within a time frame.

2. Mr. A.N. Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the 1st respondent and Mr.A.S.Thambusamy, learned counsel appearing for the 2nd https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner's father on 06.01.2012, in accordance with law.

3. The petitioner's father, viz., Seshan, has filed the appeal on 06.01.2012 before the 1st respondent challenging the order passed by the 2nd respondent-Municipality. Now, the appeal is pending for more than five years.

4. In these circumstances, I direct the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner's father on 06.01.2012, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
