Respondents (Respondent No.3 cause title amended as per the order dt. 5.4.2016) Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to initiate immediate action for allocation of the poramboke lands for the establishment of a court complex in Ambattur, and for the construction of a state of the art combined court complex in Ambattur.

O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner seeks a direction for immediate allocation of the poramboke lands for establishment of a Court complex in Ambattur and thereafter, for construction of the Court complex.

2. In so far as the issue of allocation of the land is concerned, the affidavit on record of respondent No.2 as well as the report of the Registrar General of this Court confirm that the land to an extent of 0.47.00 Hectares in S.No.282/3 part (T.S.No.4/1) has been transferred to the judicial department for construction of the combined Court complex and the Collector's proceedings were recorded on 04.07.2016.

3. The learned Additional Advocate General submits that the financial proposal would have to emanate from the High Court, making an estimate, with the assistance of the Public Works Department, whereafter the financial proposal will be considered.

4. The concerned respondents to take expedite steps now for proposal and sanction of the requisite funds for construction of the Court complex.

5. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs.
