Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 08.04.2013 of the petitioner and pass orders within a time limit regarding appointment of the petitioner's son, Thiru S.Gugan, on compassionate grounds consequent on the death of the petitioner's husband Thiru.V.Sampath Kumar, on 11.11.2011 while serving as Sub Staff in Chengalpattu Court branch of the respondent's bank.

ORDER
The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondent to consider the representation dated 08.04.2013 of the petitioner and pass orders within a time limit regarding appointment of the petitioner's son, Thiru S.Gugan, on compassionate grounds consequent on the death of the petitioner's husband Thiru.V.Sampath Kumar, on 11.11.2011 while serving as Sub Staff in Chengalpattu Court branch of the respondent's bank.
2.When the matter came up for hearing on 10.04.2015 before this Court, the petitioner was directed to serve notice along with a copy of the affidavit on the learned standing counsel for the respondent Bank.

3.Today, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Bank has submitted that the scheme providing compassionate appointment was scraped from 04.10.2004 onwards in the respondent Bank. He has further submitted that ex-gratia payment of Rs.6 lakhs has already been paid to the petitioner in lieu of compassionate appointment on 25.07.2012 in PAD/178/CL/135/2011-2012. 4.Since, there is no scheme providing compassionate appointment in the respondent Bank, the direction as sought for by the petitioner could not be issued. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
