Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the entire records relating to the petitioner's husband detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order dated 15.02.2021 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings Memo No.C3/D.O./05/2021, quash the same as illegal and consequently, direct the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's husband, namely, Arumugam S/o.Kaliyan, aged 40 years, before this Court and set him at liberty from detention, now the petitioner's husband detained at

Central Prison, Cuddalore.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by R.PONGIAPPAN, J] Petitioner is the wife of the detenu Arumugam S/o.Kaliyan, aged 40 years, who has been branded as 'Bootlegger' under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 and detained under orders of second respondent passed in Memo No.C3/D.O./05/2021 dated 15.02.2021. Such order is under challenge herein.

2. Learned Government Advocate [Crl.side] would submit that the detention order passed against the detenu in Memo No.C3/D.O./05/2021 dated 15.02.2021 on the file of the second respondent is revoked vide G.O.Rt.No.1742, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XI) Department, dated 15.04.2021 and produced a copy of the said order.

In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
